Radical Studios is a multimedia studio centralized around a catalog of stories and characters that are used as a basis for generating revenue streams across all media channels. The company is currently focused on building strong and diversified licensing revenue for its intellectual properties in both domestic and international markets, in physical and digital publishing, feature films, television, merchandise, recorded music, digital and online media applications and mobile and social games. Each property was its own brand and we developed comics into movies such as Hercules featuring the Rock, and Oblivion with Tom Cruise.
Each Intellectual Property was first developed into a comic or graphic novel. We worked with some of the best talent in the industry, from all over the world to produce the high quality artwork and character driven story lines that Radical was known for. Each property was it's own brand so we had to develop an identity and tagline for each book. We published Radical's marketing materials in monthly Diamond Distribution catalogs, quarterly Random House Publishing catalogs, and top magazines relevant to the target market.
We used the comics to pitch the movies. The art was so cinematic, studios and production companies bought our ideas and we optioned many properties, eventually creating two feature films the first being Hercules starring Dwayne Johnson, and Oblivion starring Tom Cruise.
We attended Comic-Con every year for a span of 5 years. The booth graphics needed to be updated and sized to fit the wall; logos and artwork had to be scaled, color corrected and formatted for final print production. Same thing for the giant hanging 'halo' banner.
SPECIAL EDITION SHIRTS
With the launch of new titles we created special addition shirts. The design was converted to vector using existing Radical art and optimized for the screen printing process.
The entire line we developed in collaboration with an art studio in Singapore, where I served as Art Director giving creative briefs to the artists and designers. The entire line included t-shirts, hoodies and hats.
There was a ton, but here's a collection of some of my favorite ads, heavily photoshopped. These all feature composite graphics I repurposed for the purpose of the ad, custom textures, logos and font treatments.
